The Subtle Art of Writing

       Writing is the activity of pouring thoughts, emotions, souls into a piece of writing. But in my opinion, writing is not just that. Writing for me is an art to sharpen empathy, heal the soul, and a versatile tool. Writing is a tool to create immortality, every writing has the life of a writer and it will be eternal in the bridle of time. Writing is a shaper of public opinion, it can possess every human head and change it. Therefore, writing can become a tiger for the writer if he is wrong in writing.

    Writing is closely related to reading, and both are my favorite things. From the hustle and bustle of the world I can be a little entertained with my little corner of the world, namely by writing and reading, they are my best friends since long ago. Why do I like writing? Here are some of the arts of writing in my opinion:

• By writing I found another me.

Every word printed on that sheet of paper contains the life of the writer, sometimes when I read my old writings I feel like walking around an art museum, and the works displayed in the museum are another me, a part of me, that I now always miss. The poetic me who was writing tons of poems. The cheerful me who wrote about many exciting experiences in life. The very wise me who wrote many quotes in an old diary. Or the fragile me from a breakup. It's funny to remember so many timeless things in my writings.

• Writing is the most effective language for a mute person.

Mute here does not mean unable to speak, but in my opinion only writing can convey the contents of the deepest heart in an amazing way, in the most aesthetic way. In addition, during the leadership of Mr. Soeharto many journalists were silenced, they did not lose their minds, they wrote many opinions and spread them secretly. As I mentioned before that writing is a weapon to conjure up the contents of people's heads, leading to many public opinions. Write if you are forced into silence whether by circumstances, someone, or even yourself. For me who finds it difficult to express feelings by speaking, I prefer to remain silent and speak through the tip of my pen.

• Writing carves a civilization

The Qur'an from the time of the prophet Muhammad until now we can still read and dive into its meaning, it is because the Qur'an was written. Science can develop until now because knowledge is passed down by writing. I once found a quote approximately like this 

"Science is like a wild animal, it is bound by writing." 

Writing can create a civilization, therefore I want to write, entrust my life to sheets of paper containing writing, I want to participate in civilization.

• Writing can take you to worlds you've never imagined.

Just by writing you can travel the world for free, taste food from any part of the world, and even step foot in a world you never imagined before, a fantasy world.

For those of you who are struggling to write, I have a lot of words for you. Write whatever happens, don't think no one will read it, it's a problem later. Because I believe that every writing will definitely find its readers. Write writings that are useful for others, writing can be a tiger if you are wrong in writing. And finally I have a quote that makes me excited in writing.
